About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-focused sales specialist to join our team at IQVIA. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for delivering sales results by engaging with customers and demonstrating our corporate values of Client Focused, Results Driven, Teamwork, Flawless Execution, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance: Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Customer Engagement: Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to close sales calls.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
  • Call Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise to share market intelligence information with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
  • Disease State Expertise: Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
  • Travel: 25% travel required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years business-to-business outside sales experience with a demonstrated record of impact required. 5 years of Pharmaceutical Sales Experience with documented success preferred.
  • Skills: Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders. Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts quickly all aspects of selling approach.
