Job Summary

Sheltair Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Aviation Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our ground support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Parking Aircraft: Safely park and secure aircraft upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Fueling and Handling: Provide fueling services for aircraft, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to passengers and crew, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ground Support: Assist with ground support duties, including towing, marshaling, and providing lavatory and water services as required.
  • Shuttle Service: Provide transportation for passengers and crew as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • General Maintenance: Assist with general cleaning and clearing of debris from the ramp, building, and customer area.
  • Baggage and Cargo Handling: Assist with baggage and cargo handling, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of aircraft.
  • Wing Walking: Assist with wing walking duties as required, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of fueling and handling activities, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Training: Completion of NATA Safety 1st initial training and recurrent training every 2 years.
  • Licenses: Valid state driver's license, CDL preferred.
  • Background Check: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check following FAA and DOT guidelines.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment for this role includes working near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, and in outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Line Service Technicians will work with fuels and chemicals that may pose a serious health and/or safety hazard if improperly handled. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
