About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial activities, including managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, and handling payroll.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present periodic financial statements and reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset reports, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Oversee payroll and accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors and employees.
  • Process and review returns for excise, payroll, and personal property taxes, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Work with departmental managers to create annual capital and operational budgets, providing financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations to management, ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with standards for Income-Tax based accounting, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist with accounting and financial audits, providing support and guidance to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide financial training and support to department leadership and physicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed financial decisions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with outside accounting firms, banks, and contracted financial institutions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism, maintaining the trust and confidence of stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll management.
  • Prior work experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
  • Strong knowledge of Income-Tax Based Accounting, payroll laws, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
