Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Specialist to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the functions of associates in the file room, archives, distribution center, and release of information areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize workflow and assign tasks to associates to ensure efficient operations.
  • Carry out daily functions to ensure all areas are covered for essential workflow.
  • Assist with training new hired associates to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of patient medical records.
  • Assist with scheduling to ensure coverage for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform functions in the absence of associates to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Resolve problems and concerns and report issues to the Operation Manager or Director.
  • Assist in requesting and receiving department supplies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; three or more years' experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department preferred.
  • PC skills, including proficiency in keyboard operations and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Customer orientation, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Privacy and security awareness, with a focus on protecting patient information.
  • Organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Quality orientation, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
