Key Responsibilities:- Procurement Management: Apply procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) related to procurement and management of material and equipment.
- Bills of Material and Job Material Lists: Compile and create Bills of Material (BOMs) and Job Material Lists (JMLs) for contracted work, while submitting proposals for future contracts.
- Purchase Order Requests: Prepare Purchase Order Requests (PORs) based on Program Manager and task requirements, ensuring all quality attributes and requirements are identified.
- Tracking and Status Updates: Track the POR from inception through submittal to Purchasing for Purchase Order (PO) preparation, and provide status to Program Managers.
- Purchase Card Management: Manage purchases using Purchase Card (P-Card) process, observing company limitations on use and reconciling the account with PORs authorized by Program Managers.
- Material and Services Procurement: Monitor material and services procured for each task to ensure on-time delivery within the quoted price, and assist in expediting delivery based on Program Manager requirements.
- Material Allocation: Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
- Delivery Expediting: Expedite delivery of material identified by Program Managers.
- Procurement Documentation: Ensure PORs have required documentation in compliance with the approved procurement system for defined price thresholds, including definition of requirements, competition, vendor qualifications, representations, and certifications, government contract requirements, and vendor prequalification.
- Corrective Action Reports: Provide input for addressing Corrective Action Reports (CAR) regarding purchasing process issues. Handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.
- Cost and Time Optimization: Design strategies to minimize the cost or time while improving efficiency required to purchase, move, or deliver goods.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the Supply/Logistics field in relation to Navy/Coast Guard procurement environment.
- Security Clearance: Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.
