Corporate Relations Manager

The Maymont Foundation is on the lookout for a Corporate Relations Manager. This pivotal role will be responsible for strategizing and executing Maymont's engagement with corporate partners and sponsors. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering and maintaining relationships that are vital for the foundation's growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Development to identify and nurture a diverse pipeline of corporate and sponsorship supporters.
- Manage a portfolio of funders, including drafting letters of inquiry, proposals, renewal requests, and comprehensive reports.
- Conduct research to identify and qualify new funding sources for Maymont's operational needs and priority initiatives.
- Work alongside team members to create compelling grant applications and stewardship materials.
- Oversee the timely completion of proposal and report deadlines in coordination with development and program teams.
- Ensure that sponsorship and stewardship requirements are met across various departments.
- Maintain and update Maymont's database of current and prospective donor records, ensuring accuracy in funder histories and profiles.
- Engage with donors through effective communication, presentations, outreach, site visits, and appreciation events.
- Stay informed about all aspects of assigned programs to provide meaningful insights to funders.
- Collaborate with the Finance team regarding gift recognition and account reconciliation.
- Support community and fundraising events, which may occur outside of standard working hours.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on proposal writing.
- Proficient in donor relations, with the ability to engage effectively with board members and program directors.
- Adaptable and flexible in managing changing priorities and new opportunities.
- Proactive in finding solutions and collaborating to overcome challenges.
- Quick to learn and eager to deepen understanding of Maymont's mission and programs.
- Commitment to the mission and core values of Maymont.
- Ability to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, showcasing success in proposal writing and/or sponsorship sales.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with a proven ability to manage a growing portfolio of funders.
- Experience with CRM and donor management systems, tracking engagement strategies, and reporting outcomes.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate for extended periods.
- Capable of climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
