Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Check in patients, verify and update demographic and insurance information in eCW.
- Update the eCW system on patients' arrival and records referral information.
- Check out and make appointments for follow-up patients' office schedules.
- Answer telephone calls in a professional manner, screen calls, and respond to routine requests for information.
- Assist patients with ambulatory difficulties.
- Screen visitors and respond to routine requests for information.
- Collect applicable insurance co-pay information and referrals.
- Batches out and balances end-of-day payments.
- Assist other front desk personnel in situations with irate patients.
- Maintain work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner.
- Re-supply front desk for the day.
- Prepare all work for the next business day in eCW.
- High School Diploma or GED minimum education requirement.
- Minimum one year of medical reception experience required.
- Must have EMR system experience.
