ROLE OVERVIEW

The Onsite AV Support Technician will collaborate closely with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to deliver on-site assistance for AVI-SPL clients at their respective locations, aiming to provide an exceptional Customer Service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dismantle conference areas to fulfill the client's event requirements.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure customer spaces are well-maintained, including verifying that all technology operates as intended and troubleshooting various hardware components.
  • Clean a variety of AV equipment, such as camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans.
  • Document job site activities and provide client training on AV technology as necessary.
  • Execute support tasks promptly and with a focus on quality, including meeting support, installing basic AV components, and assisting with video/audio recording when applicable.
  • Engage with internal and external teams in a professional manner that embodies the values of AVI-SPL.
  • Comprehend and comply with local safety regulations for all site responsibilities.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
  • Travel to different job sites as required.

Considerations:

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to modify work hours and locations as necessary. Work hours may fluctuate based on client needs and may involve travel to various sites in support of the account.
  • This position typically operates at customer locations and may involve working in environments similar to construction sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, customers, and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including soldering and crimping connectors.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
  • Understanding of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control systems.
  • Valid Driver's License with a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL standards.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in audiovisual integration preferred.

Desirable Skills:

  • Formal education in Electronics or a related field preferred.
  • Preferred training includes:
  • AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals.
  • Crestron Professional Installation.
  • Exton AV Associate Certification.
  • AVIXA Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry.
  • AVIXA CTS General Certification.
