Position Summary: We are currently seeking a seasoned Security Operations Specialist with an active TS/SCI clearance to support our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding personnel and ensuring adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) regulations. A comprehensive understanding of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or its successor is essential, along with robust skills in security awareness and incident investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the security processing for Government Civilian, Military, and Contractor personnel, ensuring meticulous tracking of each action until completion, including data entry into the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or its successor.
  • Assist in Government-led investigations into potential security breaches, which includes organizing interviews, preparing detailed reports, and monitoring incidents from initiation to resolution. Compile monthly metrics relevant to these inquiries and investigations.
  • Conduct thorough physical security assessments, manage the necessary documentation for accreditation, identify vulnerabilities, propose mitigation strategies, and support client organizations in implementing compliance measures.
  • Facilitate training sessions for personnel on security protocols and compliance reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the DoD or other federal agencies in a related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting medium-scale DoD organizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or its successor.
  • Exceptional investigative and reporting capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal record policies and legislation.
  • Ability to conduct training and perform risk assessments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying and recommending strategies for vulnerability mitigation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Experience providing security support at high-level government facilities.
