Job Summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join our team in Alexandria, VA. As an Industrial Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the industrial security program, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the industrial security program, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Interface with Leidos personnel and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance.
  • Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, and implement security measures to meet requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance to company employees and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate.
  • Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, and audits.
  • Security incidents/infractions and violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.
  • Perform physical, personnel, and administrative security responsibilities for multiple SCIFs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other government regulations (e.g. Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs).
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, customer service orientated.
  • Commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customers.
  • Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.
  • Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements of ICD 705 to include collateral Closed Areas and ICD 705 to meet contractual needs.
  • Ability to manage Sensitive Compartmented Information programs.
  • Thorough understanding and working experience with government and corporate security databases such as NISS, DISS, eQIP, and SIMS.
  • Thorough experience consolidating SCI nomination packages for submission to customer.
  • Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings, and refresher briefings, as appropriate.
  • Thorough understanding of security databases such as DISS, NCAISS, CCure, SIMS.
  • Ability to develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education program.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to conduct oral briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FSO training certificate.
  • CPSO or CSSO Certificate/Training.
  • COMSEC Custodian certificate or experience desired.
  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification.
  • Courier preparation procedures.
  • Experience developing and implementing OPSEC plans.
  • Experience drafting subcontractor DD254s.
  • Experience developing and implementing security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency action plans.
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Experience with SCIF construction and Prepare Facility Clearance (FCL) Sponsorship documentation for subcontractors requiring new FCLs.
  • Experience conducting Security incident inquiries.
  • Resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunities.
