Job Title: General Liability Claims Resolution Specialist

At VetJobs, we are committed to providing quality claim handling services for our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Liability Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing quality claim handling of low complexity General Liability claims from the first notice of loss through resolution/settlement and payment process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance policies, claims handling procedures, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim handling process, including prompt contact, explaining the process, on-going communication, and meeting commitments to achieve optimal outcome on every file.
  • Involves significant customer interactions and resolving issues with an empathic approach.
  • Validates coverage in multiple state jurisdictions, addresses proper application of any deductibles, and verifies benefits available and coverage limits that will apply.
  • Determines settlement amounts and conveys claim settlements within authority limits to claimants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Customer-oriented service preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership attitude and customer centric response to all assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
  • Able to demonstrate positive and professional demeanor.
  • Able to demonstrate effective sales skills or aptitude.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution skills.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Keyboard skills and Windows proficiency, including Excel and Word - Intermediate.
  • Verbal and written communication skills - Intermediate.
  • Analytical Thinking - Basic.
  • Judgment/Decision Making - Basic.
  • Negotiation - Basic.
  • Insurance Contract Knowledge - Basic.
  • Principles of Investigation - Basic.
