Position Title: Lead Room Attendant
Job Category: Resort Operations
Job Overview:
The Lead Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of resort accommodations, ensuring that guests enjoy a pleasant and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Welk I-Service standards consistently.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures diligently.
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify and suggest improvements for services and processes.
- Provide mentorship to colleagues and new team members.
Departmental Duties:
- Thoroughly clean all assigned villas during scheduled shifts.
- Document and report any missing items to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist in training new hires as required.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Offer assistance to guests and provide accurate information about resort activities.
- Handle lost and found items according to company procedures.
- Follow all safety and emergency protocols, reporting any incidents immediately.
- Cross-train to assist with villa inspections and dispatch duties as needed.
- Support various departments during maintenance weeks as directed.
- Respect do not disturb signs and follow up on service requests appropriately.
- Report maintenance issues to management and document them in daily reports.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
Education and Experience:
A minimum of six months of relevant experience in a lead role is required; prior experience in hospitality or food service is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively communicating in English in both individual and small group settings.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, use hands for various tasks, and communicate effectively. Frequent walking and reaching are necessary, with occasional sitting, climbing, or bending. The ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds is essential.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with responsibilities requiring movement in and out of facilities.
