Senior Room Supervisor

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Resort-Wide Duties:

  • Adhere to the Welk I-Service standards consistently.
  • Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Propose enhancements to services, systems, and procedures.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues and new team members.

Department-Specific Duties:

  • Thoroughly clean all assigned villas during scheduled shifts.
  • Document and report any missing items to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist in training new hires as required.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and carts.
  • Provide assistance to guests and stay informed about resort activities and hours.
  • Handle lost and found items appropriately.
  • Follow all safety and emergency protocols and report incidents immediately.
  • Cross-train to assist with villa inspections and dispatch duties as needed.
  • Support various areas during annual maintenance as directed by management.
  • Respect 'Do Not Disturb' signs and follow up for service requests.
  • Report maintenance issues to management and document them in daily reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A minimum of six months of relevant lead experience is required; prior experience in hospitality or food service is preferred.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in English in one-on-one and small group settings.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions. Capable of addressing problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Proficient in performing simple math calculations and handling cash transactions accurately.
