Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Market Access is tasked with formulating the market access and contracting strategy for the designated region within the United States. This role involves establishing and nurturing relationships within Medical, Policy, Pharmacy, and Network provider departments of key accounts, innovating payment models for value services, and collaborating with local teams to capitalize on access opportunities and address barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive, multi-year contracting strategy aimed at enhancing coverage decisions and access to Option Care services from key accounts in the assigned region, including progress in value-based initiatives and clinical effectiveness with payers.
  • Assess, create, and implement strategies for strategic partnerships with health plan subsidiaries and major employer groups.
  • Conduct quarterly strategic business reviews with key accounts, establishing priority objectives, gathering marketing materials and data to support these objectives, and aligning Option Care's goals with those of the accounts.
  • Collaborate with regional counterparts in Operations and Sales to ensure effective payer engagement, messaging for field teams, market access education, and the removal of barriers to access.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop tools and collateral for payer messaging across various segments, and provide resources for non-market access teams regarding access education.
  • Work alongside the Director of Contracting to manage ongoing account relationships and position Option Care as the preferred provider for infusion services.
  • Coordinate internal resources (Clinical, Nursing, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Contracting, Finance, Business Development, etc.) to fulfill the plan's value-based care requirements.
  • Oversee long-term (1-3 years) and short-term (up to 1 year) pricing, contracting, and account strategies in collaboration with the Director of Contracting and Contract Performance teams, developing strategic roadmaps for targeted accounts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities, such as hiring, recommending promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Basic Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the managed care sector.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong relationships with key health plans in the assigned region.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Proven capability to cultivate relationships at senior levels within accounts.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. Pay range is $184,614.84 - $307,691.40.
