Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Market Access is accountable for formulating the market access and contracting strategy for designated regions within the United States. This role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with Medical, Policy, Pharmacy, and Network provider departments within key accounts, innovating payment models for value-based services, and collaborating with local teams to identify access opportunities and address barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive, multi-year contracting strategy to enhance coverage decisions and access to Option Care services from Key Accounts in the designated region, focusing on value-based initiatives and clinical effectiveness.
  • Assess, create, and implement strategies for strategic partnerships with health plan subsidiaries and large employer groups.
  • Conduct quarterly strategic business reviews with Key Accounts, defining priority objectives, gathering necessary marketing materials and data, and aligning Option Care's goals with those of the accounts.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure effective payer engagement, market access education, and the removal of barriers to access.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop resources and collateral for payer messaging and support non-market access teams with educational tools.
  • Work alongside the Director of Contracting to manage existing agreements and position Option Care as the preferred provider for infusion services.
  • Coordinate internal resources across various departments to fulfill the needs of plans focused on value-based care.
  • Oversee long-term (1-3 years) and short-term (up to 1 year) pricing, contracting, and account strategies in collaboration with the Director of Contracting and Contract Performance teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, performance evaluations, and team management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the managed care sector.

Qualifications:

  • Strong relationships with Key Health Plans in the assigned region.
  • Proven capability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships at senior levels within accounts.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
