About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Manager to join our team at Emery Jensen Distribution, LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to drive growth and profitability in our defined geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to engage retailers and increase the customer base within a defined geographic territory.
  • Analyze each retailer's needs and develop specific sales strategies to meet Emery Jensen Distribution objectives.
  • Manage customer relationships and serve as the liaison between the customer and Emery Jensen Distribution.
  • Deliver annual sales and profit objectives by developing a strategic sales plan that engages retailers and increases the customer base within a defined geographic territory.
  • Develop and foster strong business relationships with owners and key decision makers to grow the overall Emery Jensen Distribution business.
  • Organize and prioritize weekly customer sales routes and calls to meet Emery Jensen Distribution goals and objectives.
  • Input leads, new business opportunities, prospect and core store visits into Salesforce every Friday at noon.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities and visit at least 1-2 prospects per week.
  • Complete an average of 8-10 store visits weekly.
  • Represent Emery Jensen Distribution professionally and ethically in all day-to-day activities.
  • Effectively communicate with the Emery Jensen Leadership Team and internal Sales Support Team to resolve customer issues and questions.
  • Collaborate with Emery Jensen Distribution team members to share ideas and sales successes.
  • Displays sound judgement in relation to expenses.
Requirements
  • Motivated self-starter with a proven track record of performance and a focus on solutions based on customers' needs.
  • 5 years of B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Hardware sales and pro lumber experience a plus.
  • Excellent listening and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities with an emphasis on developing a sales growth plan.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive travel required, including overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.
Essential Functions
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations: Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Travel: Road warrior, at minimum 3 days per week by plane or car.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, climb a ladder, and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation

$80,000 - $103,600 per year.
