Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to enhance our dynamic and highly regarded team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Independently executing transmission design tasks, including CADD design, development of engineering drawings, and PLS-CADD modeling and analysis.
  • Preparing detailed transmission-related drawings such as plan and profile layouts, structural specifications, and foundation designs.
  • Conducting calculations, generating reports, and performing designs on transmission line projects to support engineering efforts.
  • Understanding client specifications and completing small-scale projects and moderately complex tasks, exercising sound judgment in design criteria and evaluations.
  • Collaborating effectively with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:

  • An associate degree or technical school certification, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing CADD layouts and designs based on engineering specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation or Inroads.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD software for transmission line modeling.
  • The ability to lead projects, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with engineering teams.
  • Previous experience in an architectural/engineering or consulting firm is preferred.

Essential Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Technical proficiency with 3D design software and document management systems.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications and communication tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • A foundational understanding of engineering or architectural principles.
