Key Responsibilities: Develop and define cutting-edge packaging or assembly processes and provide engineering support for wafer processing and assembly. Act as a subject matter expert in polymer processing, bonding, dicing, patterning, dispensing, laser processing, and wafer thinning. All engineers are expected to be actively engaged in wafer processing, assembly, and testing. This role requires an engineer who can drive process enhancements, establish and maintain fabrication and assembly operations, and implement effective improvement strategies. The Senior Process Engineer will play a crucial role in creating unique wafer fabrication and assembly processes to support wafer-level chip scale packaging and assembly technology.

Required Experience: The ideal candidate will possess experience in semiconductor packaging, assembly, or wafer fabrication environments and be knowledgeable about various processing and assembly systems. General semiconductor fabrication experience is beneficial, with particular relevance to laser patterning, CMP, grinding, WLCSP, and assembly.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in wafer-level packaging or fabrication or equivalent process technology. Familiarity with polyimides, metal deposition/plating, and bonding is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in the operation of semiconductor tools, electronics, and robotics.
  • Knowledgeable in the maintenance and application of wafer fabrication tool systems.
  • Experienced in the installation, start-up, utilization, and sustaining of capital equipment.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required.
