Capture Manager Job Description

Leidos is seeking a seasoned Capture Manager to lead and support high-performing teams in securing existing and winning new business opportunities across the Health & Civil Sector. As a key member of our Capture Excellence Group, you will be responsible for developing and executing the Sector's overall capture strategy to increase the win probability of growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute capture strategies to increase win probability of growth opportunities
  • Work closely with account managers and business development leads to support transition from opportunity identification to capture efforts
  • Assemble and manage capture teams to successfully bid and win contracts
  • Interface with existing and new clients and partners to communicate Leidos' core capabilities
  • Establish internal and external teaming and manage bid and proposal funding

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities
  • Proven track record of successful capture management and winning $50-200M+ competitions with US Government customers
  • Experience leading teams in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to lead local and geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to relate concepts and plans to their financial outcomes
  • Demonstrable understanding of all contract types and payment types
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually
  • Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed professional training in Capture Management
  • Understanding of and existing relationships with US Government health-related offices and/or civilian agencies

This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to become an active member of a strategic team at the Sector level. Successful candidates will have the ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, develop a capture plan that implements the vision, and adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds. In addition to the primary focus of the role, you will benefit from exposure to other customers, markets, and technologies across other Sectors.
