Job Summary

The UNC Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Technician to join their Medical Intensive Care Unit team. As a Clinical Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures
  • Provide clerical support, including answering phone calls, responding to patient requests, and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and safety checks
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Listing as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prefer six months of clerical or customer service experience
