Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Revenue Cycle Integrity Director, this employee participates in the development, design, assessment, and training of revenue cycle soft skills, workflow, and compliance training. The Support Specialist will serve as a liaison between the users and the Revenue Cycle Integrity department and application teams. This role will also be responsible for Quality Assurance reviews across multiple departments and services within the revenue cycle, as well as revenue-generating functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance revenue cycle operations and compliance.
  • Collaborate with departmental supervisors to design and deliver training sessions for new and existing employees.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with revenue cycle policies and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on revenue cycle-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain departmental training manuals and reference materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Integrity Director.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5 Years of experience in hospital revenue cycle
  • Substitutable Education & Experience: 5 Years of Experience can be substituted for one of the following:
    • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Management Science, Business Administration with 3 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle;
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Science, Health Information Management or Business Administration with 1 year of experience in patient financial services such as revenue flow or patient access;
    • Bachelor's Degree in any field of study with 3 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle.
  • Required Certifications/Licensure: Must be willing to obtain South Carolina HFMA CRCA certification
  • Required Training: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Must be willing to cross-credential in additional Revenue Cycle applications and workflows.
