About the Role:

MaineHealth's Burn Care Team is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join their multidisciplinary team. As a key member, you will provide psychological rehabilitation services to patients suffering from burns and wounds. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside burn specialists, MDs, RNs, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and others to provide integrated care.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on psychological rehabilitation, providing targeted interventions to manage pain through non-pharmacological methods
  • Improve sleep and protect natural defenses in patients
  • Develop coping strategies to assist patients in the painful process of burn care
  • Provide consultations to providers and extended care teams for care planning and approaches to respond to psychological distress
  • Link and refer patients to additional services in the community to address co-occurring mental health needs
  • Collaborate with psychiatry and primary care providers as patients transition through stages of care

Requirements:

  • Licensed Psychologist at the Doctoral Level
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Two years or more of work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred
  • Knowledge of evidenced-based clinical theories, therapies, and techniques

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60K to $72K per year, based on years of experience and other factors. MaineHealth offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
