About the Job:

MaineHealth is recruiting for a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join their team in Portland, Maine. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team environment, providing psychological rehabilitation services to patients with burns and wounds. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside burn specialists, MDs, RNs, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and others to provide integrated care
  • Provide psychological rehabilitation services, including targeted interventions to manage pain and improve sleep
  • Develop coping strategies to assist patients in the painful process of burn care
  • Consult with providers and extended care teams for care planning and approaches to respond to psychological distress
  • Link and refer patients to additional services in the community to address co-occurring mental health needs

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychologist at the Doctoral Level
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Two years or more of work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred
  • Knowledge of evidenced-based clinical theories, therapies, and techniques

Compensation and Benefits:
