Position: Patient Support Specialist - Ophthalmology Office - Part-Time/Full-Time

DuPage Ophthalmology is a well-established, privately owned practice specializing in general ophthalmology, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care within a supportive and healthy atmosphere. We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Support Specialist to enhance our professional team. This role is performed in an office setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient appointment scheduling, respond to general inquiries, and triage incoming calls from patients.
  • Proactively review clinic schedules to ensure a seamless experience for patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, including gathering demographic information and processing payments.
  • Request referrals for patient visits and create referrals for specialized care and external testing.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling with ancillary departments or other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Input laboratory, radiology, and other test results into electronic patient records.
  • Oversee documentation for hospital and emergency room follow-ups.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of patient information.
