Primary Care Services, (PCS) is a well-established, independent primary care practice dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare. We are currently on the lookout for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to fill roles in office and facility environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting patient assessments and providing treatment
- Requesting diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures
- Prescribing medications as necessary
- Educating patients and their families
- Performing hospital rounds
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Exhibiting strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Being available for weekend shifts and after-hours calls
- Executing additional duties as required within the scope of practice
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is essential.
- Licensure as mandated by Illinois State law for NP/PA is required.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License are necessary based on prescriptive authority.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a relevant specialty is preferred.
