  • Position Overview
    • The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in spearheading and facilitating process enhancement initiatives throughout the organization. This position is dedicated to pinpointing inefficiencies, evaluating operational workflows, and executing strategies aimed at boosting productivity, quality, and overall efficiency. The specialist collaborates closely with various teams to cultivate a culture of ongoing improvement and ensure the realization of operational excellence.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Maintain and enhance safety, environmental, and quality standards, processes, and protocols
    • Effectively communicate and embody the company's philosophy, vision, and expectations regarding continuous improvement to foster a culture of enhancement across all operational units
    • Serve as a change advocate across all levels of leadership to challenge existing processes, propose innovative ideas, and drive transformation
    • Design, sustain, and refine processes that enhance performance, lower costs, and elevate quality while clearly articulating objectives and control plans to operational teams
    • Coach individuals and teams in conducting daily operational meetings and applying effective problem-solving techniques using tools such as 4C, A3, DMAIC, etc.
    • Develop training programs for employees on lean manufacturing principles and culture across various operational units
  • Essential Skills
    • Analytical Skills: Strong capability to analyze data and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
    • Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
    • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure precision in data analysis and process documentation. Ability to recognize minor issues that could escalate into significant problems if not addressed.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, present findings, and lead training sessions. Ability to engage with employees at all organizational levels.
    • Collaboration & Teamwork: Proficient in working within cross-functional teams and promoting a collaborative work environment. Open to feedback and willing to incorporate input from others.
    • Leadership & Influence: Ability to lead improvement initiatives and inspire others to embrace change. Capable of motivating and guiding team members towards achieving shared objectives.
  • Qualifications
    • Education and Training: Demonstrated knowledge in relevant Continuous Improvement disciplines
    • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in process improvement, continuous improvement, or change management roles. LSSGB or LSSBB certification preferred
    • Project management experience with a strong aptitude for being a self-starter, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities
    • Experience in manufacturing, production, or similar operational settings is preferred.
