EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Exempt
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role encompass a variety of tasks. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Company.
- Apply your professional expertise to uphold the Company's safety protocols in line with OSHA and state regulations while demonstrating diligence and commitment.
- Conduct on-site setup, validation, and commissioning of machinery/molds, as well as troubleshooting and repairing existing equipment in the field, adhering to Company standards and professional judgment. Aim for customer satisfaction.
- Exercise independent judgment to foster and maintain positive customer relationships during the execution of duties, ensuring a professional demeanor in all communications.
- Leverage all available resources to provide effective customer service while developing a systematic approach to resolving machinery/mold issues, including reference materials, manuals, and collaboration with other service team members.
- Offer troubleshooting and telephone support to clients as necessary.
- Instruct plant maintenance and management personnel on the safe operation and upkeep of equipment.
- Assist the Technical Service Center (TSC) with tasks such as molding trials, sampling, and preparation for shipping machines/molds/ancillary equipment.
- Build relationships with the Company's International Sales, Service, and Design Departments to obtain solutions for field-related challenges. Strive for continuous improvement.
- Deliver regular, comprehensive, clear, and organized service and expense reports. Create and maintain record-keeping systems to track working hours and responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities)
To qualify for this position, candidates must successfully perform the following essential duties. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this role.
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or 3 years of experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding machines, or 5 years in a similar plastics industry role.
- Outstanding customer service abilities with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex machinery issues. Capability to interact professionally with all levels of client organization staff.
- Problem-Solving Skills - Identifies and resolves issues promptly; gathers and analyzes information effectively; collaborates well in group problem-solving scenarios; applies reason and judgment even in challenging situations.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Adobe, and internet applications.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical/hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, accurately interpreting their meanings using professional knowledge and judgment. Competent in testing and troubleshooting electrical/analog and digital circuits.
- Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
