Job Summary

Abacus is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and direction to dealership service technicians regarding vehicle maintenance, service, or repair.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to dealership service technicians via phone, email, or chat, providing them with technical information on the diagnosis and repair of customer vehicles.
Collect and document technical information on new vehicle incidents requiring repairs, preparing reports for further investigation by engineering staff.
Analyze decisions from the customer's viewpoint and recommend actions with the customer needs and values in mind.
Provide feedback from dealership technicians regarding countermeasure procedures to various Nissan North America departments.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles.
Well-versed in the use of technical service manuals and tools.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
Three or more years of automotive experience, plus one or more years of directly related professional level experience.
AA degree preferred, or equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars, and in-house classroom training.
Certification as an ASE Master Technician or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, and other PC applications to output routine products with similar, non-creative formats.

Working Conditions

This is a field-based position with occasional work in the office. The successful candidate will be required to work a 7-4 CST shift, with occasional 9-6 shifts for two-week durations and Saturday shifts on a rotational basis. All shifts will be scheduled in advance.
