POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is designed for individuals to engage in the Audit Division, where you will rotate through various audits over a two-year timeframe. This program provides exposure to diverse areas such as Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Investment Advisory, Information Technology, and Finance & Accounting. You will take on responsibilities as assigned by the Audit Senior Leader and collaborate on larger initiatives while also managing smaller projects independently.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

As a participant, you will be responsible for identifying and managing risks by openly sharing insights, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. You will ensure that your actions contribute positively to the customer experience while operating within the Bank's risk framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in the execution of audit fieldwork, ensuring compliance with division methodologies and meeting established timelines.
  • Collaborate with the audit senior to document and assess processes for evaluating the adequacy of internal controls.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and regulatory compliance, utilizing appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Gather evidence to support audit conclusions through meticulous documentation and audit work papers.
  • Contribute to the development of findings and recommendations for inclusion in audit reports.
  • Assist the audit team in identifying and continuously monitoring risks and potential exposures to the organization.
  • Participate in all leadership program training sessions and events offered throughout the bank.
  • Engage in audit and regulatory issue follow-up processes, conducting quality control reviews and undertaking additional audit assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Relevant internship or co-op experience is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS-Windows and related PC applications is essential.
  • Willingness and capability to learn about mainframe and distributed applications, as well as automated data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Ideal candidates will possess knowledge in areas such as Unix, Mainframe, Client Server, Information Security, database technologies, and networking technologies.
  • Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. A results-oriented mindset, sound judgment, and logical problem-solving skills are essential.
