Position Overview
The Category Leadership Associate Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Air Care and Home Storage categories. This position requires close collaboration with the sales team to influence retail strategies through effective category management practices, shopper insights, and comprehensive market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored category and retailer-specific solutions by leveraging insights from diverse analytical sources.
- Conduct thorough category reviews utilizing shopper insights and advanced analytical tools.
- Analyze various data sources, including syndicated scan data, loyalty card information, and retailer point-of-sale metrics.
- Perform in-depth category analyses focusing on assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Support Kroger's market strategies by integrating shopper insights and current market trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to formulate category learning plans that drive business growth.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Sales Team regarding category dynamics and their implications for SC Johnson products.
- Transform category insights into actionable strategies through compelling storytelling.
- Utilize expertise in category management to recommend optimal shelf merchandising and product placement.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience in a related field is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and business mathematics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the category management process.
- Ability to craft data-driven business plans and provide strategic insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with syndicated data and retailer point-of-sale systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong presentation skills.
