Position Title: Patient Finance Coordinator

Reports to: Practice Manager

Compensation: $15-17/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and manage the daily operations of front office staff.
  • Engage in clinical discussions with patients regarding necessary treatments.
  • Prepare consent documentation and secure parental approval prior to treatment initiation.
  • Clarify insurance benefits, limitations, out-of-pocket costs, and financing alternatives with patients and/or guardians post-examination.
  • Facilitate fee collection based on patient insurance or visit.
  • Assist the office manager with claims submissions and coding.
  • Understand pre-authorizations, narratives, and the submission of prior authorizations along with intraoral images.
  • Support the Greeter and Insurance Specialist as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area and lobby.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
