Nuclear Pharmacy Role at Cardinal Health

Cardinal Health's Nuclear Pharmacy plays a vital role in the healthcare industry by providing radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to healthcare providers in compliance with strict State and Federal regulations. As a Nuclear Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with licensed Staff Pharmacists to prepare, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring safe and effective use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.

Job Details:

  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week
  • Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Flexibility required for varying shifts based on business needs
  • Hourly pay rate: $20.00

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
  • Conduct quality assurance tests on radiopharmaceuticals
  • Maintain inventory and records accurately
  • Assist with lab clean-up and facility maintenance
  • Provide customer service and address inquiries via telephone

Requirements:

  • State Pharmacy Technician license or national registration
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting, IV experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a nuclear environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
