Key Responsibilities- Assist Pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Provide exceptional patient care services to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia is mandatory.
- Non-certified technicians will have a maximum of two (2) years from their date of hire or change of status to a pharmacy technician job class at Northside Hospital to achieve certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
Our Pharmacy Department operates 24/7, and we require our Pharmacy Technicians to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
