Position Overview: The Pharmacy Technology Adjunct Instructor plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of students pursuing careers in pharmacy. This position involves the development and delivery of lesson plans for accredited technical courses, alongside the creation of comprehensive program curricula, syllabi, and learning objectives. The instructor will assess student progress towards achieving these goals and maintain necessary documentation and administrative reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans for classroom instruction.
  • Evaluate and enhance program curricula to align with industry standards.
  • Monitor and document student performance and progress.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends.
  • Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to address educational needs and challenges.
  • Contribute to recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.
  • Deliver instruction in a simulated pharmacy environment, ensuring relevance to current practices.
  • Oversee program administration, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Engage in community outreach and serve on institutional committees as required.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant field experience within the last five years.
  • Two years of documented experience as an instructor in a Pharmacy Assistant program.
