Mechanical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team at Viega. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex machinery, equipment, and physical structures.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures, adhering to specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
- Electrical and Electronic Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment used in the plant, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and measuring and testing instruments.
- Training and Development: Train maintenance workers and technicians as needed, providing knowledge and expertise to increase the knowledge and capabilities of the maintenance staff.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on building mechanical equipment, extruder machines, according to checklists provided by service manuals and scheduled maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Inspect and test elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions, perform required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or builds new controls or parts.
- Record Keeping: Maintain daily records and logs of work performed in order to track assignments to appropriate cost centers.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of computer programs and applications to troubleshoot equipment, knowledge of electrical codes, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, and ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, and 5-7 years of building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair experience.
