Job Summary

Viega is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I - 2nd Shift to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance
    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building mechanical and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance on building and plant systems, including monitoring computer-controlled systems and performing routine checks.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
    • Operate power tools and perform fabrication of new or converted equipment and machinery.
  • Cleanliness and Organization
    • Perform 6S activities to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Record Keeping
    • Accurately record hours worked and confirm work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2+ years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
    • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and blueprints.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
