Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues and perform in-process quality inspections.

Ensure sufficient inventory of parts and materials before commencing a production run.

Identify opportunities for process and safety enhancements and carry out all tasks safely.

Engage in shift meetings, provide handover information, and communicate effectively with other units and shifts.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

High School Diploma (or Equivalent) is required.

A problem-solving mindset.


Possess the necessary mechanical skills to execute machine setup, repairs, and adjustments to maintain efficient equipment operation.

Proficient in operating and maintaining various standard maintenance tools and equipment, including basic hand and power tools, multi-meters, and other mechanical devices.

Ability to read, interpret, and execute job responsibilities as outlined in operating procedures, product batch records, and other equipment-related documentation (e.g., vendor manuals, P&ID, schematics, drawings, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Technical school/Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or experience in industrial maintenance/repair.

Role Responsibilities

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work in a clean manufacturing environment, requiring the use of special garments. Demonstrate proficiency in gowning and de-gowning processes (i.e., aseptic procedures).

Responsible for the proper functioning of production equipment. Perform machine setup, repairs, adjustments, changeovers, emergency repairs/replacements, and preventative maintenance according to applicable procedures.

Interact with and interpret data from computerized control systems and displays for production equipment.

Accountable for equipment efficiency, downtime, and scrap rates.

Adhere to all safety requirements (e.g., PPE, LOTO, etc.) and process step requirements (e.g., SOP, Batch Records).

Communicate recommendations and action plans for equipment repairs to supervisors.

Effectively communicate safety and quality issues to management.

Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals and schedule adherence.

Support Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) initiatives (e.g., Continuous Improvement (CI), Standard Work (SW), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including tracking metrics).

Physical and Mental Requirements

Stand for 8-12 hours per shift, sit for 2-4 hours per shift, and use a computer terminal for 1 hour per shift.

Change into required garments (i.e., scrubs, shoes, PPE, safety glasses) 2-3 times per shift.


Work around moving/rotating equipment, chemicals, in hearing conservation areas, and occasionally in non-standing positions for repairs.

Physical activity is required for equipment repair, adjustment, and operation.

Respond to visual/audible warnings and alarms, and recognize color or other visual indicators.

Walk on floors/catwalks and climb stairs/ladders.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule and Environment

24x7 operations with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Will work alternating weekends and holidays based on A/B shift schedule.

Typical Start/End Times:
6 am to 6 pm (day shift)

6 pm to 6 am (night shift)

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

No travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $20.21 to $33.68 per hour.

Additionally, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums based on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
