Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and materials before commencing production runs.

Identify opportunities for process and safety enhancements and perform all tasks safely.

Engage in shift meetings, provide handoff information, and communicate effectively with other units and shifts.

Qualifications

Essential

High School Diploma (or Equivalent) is required.

A problem-solving mindset is crucial.


Possess the mechanical aptitude necessary for machine setup, repairs, and adjustments to ensure efficient equipment operation.

Proficiently operate and maintain various standard maintenance tools and equipment, including basic hand and power tools, multi-meters, and other mechanical devices.

Ability to read, interpret, and execute job duties as outlined in operating procedures, product batch records, and other relevant documentation (e.g., vendor manuals, P&ID, schematics, drawings, etc.).

Preferred

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.

Completion of a technical school or Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or experience in industrial maintenance/repair is a plus.

Role Responsibilities

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Operate in a clean manufacturing environment, adhering to specific garment requirements. Demonstrate proficiency in gowning and de-gowning processes (i.e., aseptic techniques).

Responsible for the effective operation of production equipment, including machine setup, repairs, adjustments, changeovers, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance as per established procedures.

Interact with and interpret data from computerized control systems and displays related to production equipment.

Accountable for equipment efficiency, downtime, and scrap rates.

Adhere to all safety protocols (e.g., PPE, LOTO) and process requirements (e.g., SOP, Batch Records).

Communicate recommendations and action plans for equipment repairs to supervisors.

Inform management of any safety or quality concerns.

Effectively communicate with team members and management to meet production goals and maintain schedule adherence.

Support Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) initiatives (e.g., Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, Total Productive Maintenance) including tracking performance metrics.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per shift, sit for 2-4 hours per shift, and use a computer terminal for 1 hour per shift.

Change into required garments (i.e., scrubs, shoes, PPE, safety glasses) multiple times per shift.


Work around moving/rotating equipment, chemicals, and in areas requiring hearing conservation. Occasionally work in non-standing positions for repairs.

Physical activity is necessary for equipment repair, adjustment, and operation.

Respond to visual and audible alarms and indicators, and recognize color or other visual signals.

Ability to walk on floors/catwalks and climb stairs/ladders.

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule

This position involves 24x7 operations with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including alternating weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $20.21 to $33.68 per hour, with eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums based on the work schedule and company policies.
