Chemical Production Operator

Italmatch USA Corporation is seeking a skilled Chemical Production Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual to perform a variety of tasks associated with the manufacturing process. The selected candidate will work on a rotating twelve-hour schedule with specific shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow written materials, batch sheets, and labels to ensure accurate production
  • Monitor machinery, tools, and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure efficient operation
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment
  • Report spills or leaks to management promptly to prevent accidents and damage

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for long periods to perform tasks, requiring stamina and endurance
  • Climb ladders and maintain balance on different surfaces to access equipment and materials
  • Lift and carry heavy objects, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
  • Bend, stoop, and kneel to perform work tasks, requiring flexibility and agility
  • Make careful finger movements and grasp objects to operate equipment and tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Chemical manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, requiring adaptability and resilience
  • Work in a loud environment, requiring hearing protection and attention to safety protocols
  • Work with personal protective equipment, including respirators, to ensure a safe working environment

Required Safety Equipment:

  • Steel-toe safety shoes to prevent foot injuries
  • Safety glasses to protect eyes from debris and chemicals
  • Hearing protection to prevent hearing loss in loud environments
  • Gloves to prevent skin irritation and injury
  • Goggles to protect eyes from chemical splashes
  • Respirator to prevent inhalation of hazardous chemicals
