Position Summary:
Accountable for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing industrial machinery and associated systems and infrastructure.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Weekdays
Management Duties: None
Core Responsibilities:
- Leverage comprehensive expertise in electrical, mechanical, and fluid dynamics to identify and rectify malfunctioning equipment, components, and systems.
- Employ precision measurement instruments such as dial indicators and accuracy gauges to verify the proper operation of machine parts, making necessary adjustments and corrections.
- Conduct routine maintenance on production machinery and equipment, including regular cleaning, minor repairs, and inspections.
- Oversee the installation, removal, and modification of machinery as needed or directed.
- Program and supervise testing apparatus and data logging devices.
- Evaluate and test machinery to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Document all maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and related platforms, ensuring accurate records of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Communicate maintenance and repair updates to production management following established protocols.
- Coordinate scheduled downtime with production management.
- Monitor and suggest spare parts inventory levels.
- Handle multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Execute all responsibilities with a focus on safety and quality as standard practices.
- Exhibit adaptability in work schedule and responsibilities, demonstrating a willingness to acquire new skills.
- Work autonomously with minimal oversight and adhere to instructions.
- Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications:
To successfully fulfill this role, an individual must be capable of performing each essential duty effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of training and experience.
- Proficient in DC/AC repair and troubleshooting, interpreting machine schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HMI, industrial communications).
- Experience in electrical and mechanical machinery repair (e.g., plastic/metal injection molding, CNC milling, CNC turning).
- Familiarity with process machinery (heating, cooling, gas metering, vacuum systems, valves, electronic controls) such as furnaces and chemical processing equipment.
- Experience with Fanuc robot maintenance and repair is advantageous.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude with advanced knowledge of tool shop operations (lathe, mill, drill press, welding, and fabrication).
- Strong mathematical skills and familiarity with the metric system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
