Job Overview: As a key member of our sales team, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences in the CNC machine tools industry. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs, a passion for building relationships, and a proven track record of success in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services.
  2. Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales targets, leveraging industry knowledge and technical expertise to drive revenue growth.
  3. Product and Service Promotion: Promote and sell our company's products and services, providing technical sales support as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and marketing, to develop and implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
  5. Travel and Territory Management: Travel extensively throughout the region, visiting customer facilities and identifying new sales opportunities to drive business growth.
  6. Reporting and Administration: Submit regular sales reports and expense reports, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in the machine tool industry.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and sales strategies, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

Work Environment: Primarily in an office setting, with frequent travel to customer facilities and occasional exposure to manufacturing environments that may include noise, electricity, chemicals, and heavy machinery.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent travel, vehicle operation, and desk work involving computers and phones.
  • Periodic repetitive movements of the feet, legs, hands, arms, and torso.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, and lifting objects.
