PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The role of the process engineer involves analyzing and optimizing operations to manufacture products while developing methodologies to meet personnel, quality, efficiency, and cost objectives. This position addresses production challenges and implements corrective measures. Additionally, the process engineer conducts research for equipment procurement or enhancements to current machinery.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

· Assess, implement, and oversee processes and operational systems for the production of client products.

· Generate, modify, and sustain essential documentation, including process maps, value stream maps, routings, BOMs, process FMEAs, work instructions, and control plans.

· Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance.

· Collaborate with clients to innovate designs and establish production methods for new product concepts.

· Evaluate and enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes through observation, measurement, and data analysis from technical and operational teams.

· Proficiently utilize 3D SolidWorks software for designing basic fixtures and gauges; willingness to learn SolidWorks is acceptable if prior experience is lacking.

· Take charge of safety and environmental concerns as well as the ongoing performance of processes.

· Possess 2-5 years of experience as a process engineer or in a related field.

· Maintain ERP routings for all part numbers within the designated group.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Strong technical aptitude.

· Proficient in problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication abilities.

· Initiative and a strong sense of urgency.

· Familiarity with GD&T tolerancing.

· Competent in Microsoft software applications such as Visio, Word, Excel, and Office.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· A bachelor's degree with substantial experience in manufacturing or a degree in an engineering discipline.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands for handling or feeling, and reaches with hands and arms.

· Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
