PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The role of the process engineer involves identifying and implementing operations to manufacture products while developing methodologies to ensure that personnel, quality, speed, and cost objectives are achieved. This position addresses production challenges and initiates corrective measures. Additionally, the process engineer conducts research for equipment acquisition or enhancements to current machinery.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

1. Assess, implement, and oversee processes and operational systems for the production of client products.

2. Generate, modify, and sustain essential documentation, including process maps, value stream maps, routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEAs), work instructions, and control plans.

3. Ensure equipment calibration and monitor maintenance schedules.

4. Collaborate with clients to innovate new designs and establish production processes for these new product concepts.

5. Evaluate and enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes through observation, measurement, and data analysis from technical and operational teams.

6. Proficiently utilize 3D SolidWorks software for designing basic fixtures and gauges; if lacking experience with SolidWorks, a willingness to learn is essential.

7. Take accountability for safety and environmental concerns as well as the ongoing performance of processes.

8. Possess 2-5 years of experience working as a process engineer or in a related field.

9. Maintain the ERP routings for all part numbers within the designated group.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

- Technical Acumen.

- Analytical Problem Solving.

- Effective Communication Skills.

- Proactive Approach and a strong sense of urgency.

- Familiarity with GD&T tolerancing.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, Word, and Excel.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- A Bachelor’s degree along with substantial experience in manufacturing or a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
