PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The role of the process engineer involves assessing production operations to create products while developing methodologies that meet the needs of personnel, quality standards, speed, and cost efficiency. This position addresses production challenges and implements corrective measures. Additionally, the process engineer investigates equipment acquisitions or enhancements to current machinery.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

· Assess, implement, and oversee manufacturing processes and operational systems for the production of client products.

· Develop, modify, and sustain essential documentation, including process maps, value stream maps, routings, BOMs, process FMEAs, work instructions, and control plans.

· Conduct equipment calibration and monitor maintenance schedules.

· Collaborate with clients to innovate designs and establish production methods for new product concepts.

· Analyze and enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing processes through observation, measurement, and data interpretation from technical and operational teams.

· Proficient in using 3D SolidWorks software for designing basic fixtures and gauges; willingness to learn SolidWorks if not already experienced.

· Take charge of safety and environmental concerns while ensuring ongoing process performance.

· A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a process engineering role or a related field.

· Maintain ERP routings for all part numbers within the designated group.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Strong technical aptitude.

· Proficient in problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication abilities.

· Initiative and a strong sense of urgency.

· Familiarity with GD&T tolerancing.

· Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, Word, and Excel.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· A bachelor's degree in engineering or extensive experience in manufacturing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

· While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands for manipulation, and reaches with arms.
