Position Overview:
This role is integral to the establishment and maintenance of manufacturing processes in collaboration with various departments including operations, product engineering, and quality assurance. The focus is on supporting the assembly of AC and DC motor components, including stator and armature winding, as well as final testing of these sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, revise, and implement manufacturing process engineering documentation.
2. Identify and execute opportunities for process enhancements.
3. Engage in problem-solving initiatives aimed at reducing variation and improving process control.
4. Investigate and resolve quality issues encountered during the manufacturing and assembly phases.
5. Compile and analyze data for monthly performance metrics and project updates.
6. Provide training support to manufacturing and production staff.
7. Create systemic solutions to address manufacturing errors.
8. Conduct measurement systems analysis, assess process capabilities, and develop control plans, FMEA, and process yield strategies.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in process improvement within a manufacturing context.
- Strong analytical skills to identify complex problems and evaluate potential solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both salaried and hourly personnel, as well as external contractors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks.
- Innovative and self-motivated, with a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines and adapt to flexible working hours when necessary.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in electric motor manufacturing is desirable.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
- General experience with machine tools is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and use hands for various tasks. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
