Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships to join our team at Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. This is a key leadership role that will play a pivotal part in securing philanthropic investments in affordable homeownership production and preservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising and Portfolio Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy for corporate and foundation donors, resulting in securing over $3M in annual support.
    • Build and sustain strong partnerships with corporate and foundation donors, identifying and engaging new prospects to drive growth.
    • Manage a portfolio of donors, collaborating closely with the Vice President of Development and CEO to maximize donations.
    • Work closely with the Public Funding Manager to support increased fundraising across public and private funding sources.
  • Leadership and Vision
    • Create and manage the Institutional Giving budget, reporting revenue and expenses quarterly and monthly.
    • Meet annual revenue goals, continually seeking additional sources of revenue for the organization.
    • Optimize and oversee two comprehensive engagement strategies: one for institutional fundraising and one for volunteer engagement.
    • Provide leadership and oversight for institutional fundraising, prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Grow the program with a vision for cultivating and soliciting current and potential corporate donors in unique ways aligned with our mission.
  • Management
    • Supervise two direct reports, providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure synergy across departments.
    • Support direct reports' professional growth, retaining and increasing impact.
    • Provide oversight and ensure fidelity of all necessary database records, files, reports, and resource materials pertinent to government and foundation activities with Salesforce.
Requirements
  • 7 years' work experience in nonprofit fundraising with a focus on institutional giving.
  • Demonstrated successful history of initiating, stewarding, and securing gifts from corporations and foundations.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing one or more direct reports.
  • Demonstrated comfort and experience with identifying, cultivating, stewarding, and closing significant gifts.
  • Possess the ability to interact with diverse and varied constituencies.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills: Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work some nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with Salesforce and/or other donor database management software.
  • A background and/or interest in affordable homeownership.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, with three days a week in the office, based in San Francisco. The job operates in a professional office environment.
