Job Summary

This is a key position supporting government relations efforts in achieving our strategic policy and advocacy plan. The successful candidate will provide critical support in designing and executing effective advocacy strategies for our policy priorities and participate in policy and advocacy activities at both federal and state levels.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor federal and state legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services industry and Pathward.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legislative proposals and rules promulgated by regulatory agencies.
  • Digest complex issues for various audiences.
  • Recommend and contribute to the development of materials in support of our public policy focus, including white papers, talking points, and reporting updates.
  • Support organizational efforts to communicate and advocate important issues and priorities with legislators and regulators.
  • Lead our PAC engagement strategy.
  • Assist in planning events and other activities to support organizational policy objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external colleagues on assignments and tasks.
  • Engage with legislators, regulators, and industry influencers at in-person and virtual events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably at a bank, federal banking agency, or related trade association.
  • Maintaining relationships with the public.
  • Research and analysis.
