Job Overview

Thrivent is a unique organization committed to helping people achieve their financial goals and live balanced lives. We are seeking an experienced Federal Government Affairs professional to join our team as a Senior Government Relations Strategist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance Thrivent's relationships with Members of Congress, administration officials, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Engage in policy discussions and advocate for Thrivent's interests on key legislative and regulatory issues affecting the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on positions and priorities.
  • Lead the development of Thrivent's public policy positions and effectively communicate them to key constituencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal legislative and administrative developments, providing timely updates to company leaders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate preferred but not required.
  • 6+ years of relevant government experience, preferably in the financial services area.
  • Strong relationships on Capitol Hill and with key players in various administrations.
  • Financial regulatory experience (insurance &/or securities preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of the political fundraising world.
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base pay range of $158,271 - $214,132 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
