Pros2Plan, a division of Spinnaker SCA, is seeking a highly skilled professional for the role of Blue Yonder Transportation Management Systems Solution Architect.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of dedicated experience with Blue Yonder's Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, or Warehouse Labor Management Systems, either as a client or a consultant.
  • Experience with other leading supply chain planning solutions such as HighJump, Manhattan, or SAP is advantageous.
  • Preferred background in management consulting or a Supply Chain Center.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or 3PL sectors is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain processes related to Transportation Management.
  • Proficient in using, implementing, or supporting TMS applications (e.g., Red Prairie, i2, or advanced TMS solutions from other vendors).
  • Understanding of configuration versus customization and the complexity involved in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to map processes effectively.
  • Skilled in designing functional solutions and business processes for large or complex clients.
  • Proven track record in identifying business improvement opportunities and proposing relevant solutions.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with programming concepts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud concepts.
  • Experience in contributing to sales and pre-sales activities and engaging with Product Development.
  • Strong project management skills (certification preferred) and mentoring capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

The role involves serving as an end-to-end architect in the execution vertical, focusing on Blue Yonder Transportation Management Systems while possessing a solid understanding of Warehouse Management and Warehouse Labor Management systems for clients throughout the Americas.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as a solution expert for transformational projects and programs.
  • Assisting in identifying necessary Change Management efforts for global or regional program implementations.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations for users, management, and executive audiences.
  • Guiding and influencing clients regarding industry best practices and process methodologies.
  • Estimating the effort required for implementation tasks and recommending suitable roles for execution.
  • Asking pertinent questions to assess business needs beyond standard solutions and evaluating integration complexity and architectural constraints.
  • Facilitating discussions on product functionality and architecture across a suite of products.
  • Providing level 3 non-technical support to implementation teams during the go-live phase, ensuring the system meets business functions and maintains data integrity.
  • Identifying and highlighting incremental revenue opportunities with existing clients and projects.
  • Serving as a functional liaison and actively participating in key meetings with project managers, solution architects, and customer stakeholders.
  • Communicating business cases related to customer-specific needs for product functionality and enhancements.
  • Ensuring effective knowledge transfer with the key customer project team.
  • Staying updated on new releases and functionalities, acting as a liaison for communication.
  • Guiding the development and execution of test scripts to ensure Blue Yonder software aligns with customer business objectives.
  • Understanding how Blue Yonder transportation solutions can be configured to optimize customer business processes.
  • Supporting project managers in planning efforts and creating detailed tasks and estimates for the overall project plan.
  • Providing advice to clients on industry best practices and process methodologies.
  • Leading business process analysis during the design phase, resulting in solution design and functional specifications.
  • Overseeing the development of functional specifications for implementations, modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that align with customer objectives.
  • Managing complex customer engagements and ensuring smooth implementation and integration between technical and functional requirements.
  • Communicating application capability gaps to Product Marketing and Development.
  • Developing and validating test plans and scripts to ensure Blue Yonder software meets customer objectives and acceptance criteria.
  • Creating and updating procedural and system documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Verifying that the system meets required business functions and maintains data integrity.
  • Supporting communication of business cases to Product Management and Development regarding trends for future product enhancements.
  • Delivering presentations for users, management, and executive audiences.
  • Ensuring effective knowledge transfer with the key customer project team.
  • Maintaining current knowledge about Blue Yonder and competitor software.
  • Providing input into pre-sales activities, including demonstrations and documentation support.

Skills Required:

  • Strong business analysis skills, including understanding and application of statistical algorithms and inventory optimization concepts.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for users, management, and executive audiences, along with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Operations Research is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree combined with relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
