Pros2Plan, a division of Spinnaker SCA, is seeking a highly skilled professional for the role of Transportation Management Systems Solution Architect.

Location: Various locations across the United States

Required Experience:

  • At least 7 years of dedicated experience with Blue Yonder's Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, or Warehouse Labor Management Systems, either as a client or as a consultant.
  • Experience with other prominent supply chain planning solutions such as HighJump, Manhattan, or SAP may also be considered.
  • Prior experience in a management consulting firm or Supply Chain Center is preferred.
  • Experience in sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail, or 3PL is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain processes related to Transportation Management.
  • Proficient in utilizing, implementing, or supporting TMS applications (e.g., Red Prairie, i2, or advanced TMS solutions from other vendors).
  • In-depth knowledge of configuration versus customization and the complexities involved in their respective areas.
  • Ability to map processes effectively.
  • Capable of designing functional solutions and business processes for large or intricate clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for business improvement and propose suitable solutions.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with programming concepts.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies.
  • Experience in contributing to sales and pre-sales activities and collaborating with Product Development.
  • Strong project management skills (certification preferred) and mentoring capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

The role entails being the end-to-end architect in the execution vertical, focusing on Blue Yonder Transportation Management Systems while also possessing a solid understanding of Warehouse Management and Warehouse Labor Management systems for clients throughout the Americas.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as a solution expert for transformational projects and programs.
  • Assisting in identifying necessary Change Management efforts for global or regional program implementations.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations tailored for users, management, and executive audiences.
  • Providing guidance and influencing clients on industry best practices and process methodologies.
  • Estimating the effort required for task-level implementation activities and recommending suitable roles for execution.
  • Assessing business needs beyond standard solutions and evaluating integration complexities and architectural constraints.
  • Facilitating discussions on product functionality and architecture across a suite of products.
  • Offering level 3 non-technical support to implementation teams during the 'go-live' phase and ensuring that the system meets required business functions while maintaining data integrity.
  • Identifying and highlighting incremental revenue opportunities with existing clients and projects.
  • Serving as a functional liaison and actively participating in key meetings with Project Managers, Solution/Technical Architects, and key customer contacts.
  • Communicating business cases related to customer-specific needs regarding product functionality and enhancements.
  • Ensuring effective knowledge transfer with key customer project teams.
  • Staying updated on new releases and functionalities and acting as a liaison for communication.
  • Guiding the development and execution of test scripts to ensure that Blue Yonder software consistently meets customer business objectives.
  • Understanding how Blue Yonder transportation solutions can be configured to best support customer business processes.
  • Supporting functional roles in key meetings between Blue Yonder project stakeholders and customer leadership teams.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers in planning efforts and creating detailed tasks and estimates within the overall project plan.
  • Highlighting opportunities for incremental revenue with existing clients and projects.
  • Advising clients on industry best practices and process methodologies.
  • Leading business process analysis during the design phase of projects, resulting in comprehensive solution design and functional specifications.
  • Facilitating integration discussions on product functionality and architecture.
  • Overseeing the development of functional specifications for implementations, modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that align with customer business objectives.
  • Managing complex customer engagements and projects that involve multiple products, enhancing functional, technical, and project complexity.
  • Ensuring seamless implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Communicating application capability gaps to Product Marketing and Development.
  • Developing and validating test plans and scripts to ensure Blue Yonder software consistently meets customer objectives, adhering to agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Creating and updating procedural and system documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Verifying that the system meets required business functions and maintains data integrity.
  • Communicating business cases to Product Management and Development regarding trends for future product functionality and enhancements.
  • Delivering presentations for users, management, and executive audiences.
  • Ensuring effective knowledge transfer with key customer project teams.
  • Maintaining current knowledge about Blue Yonder as a business and competitor software.
  • Providing input into pre-sales activities, including demonstrations and documentation support.

Skills Required:

  • Strong business analysis skills, with an understanding of statistical algorithms, inventory optimization concepts, and tactical planning across the supply chain.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for users, management, and executive audiences, along with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Operations Research is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree combined with relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
